Other contestants that joined the show tonight included:
CM PUNK - absolutely terrible
Mark Hardly - ended up losing! with a super emo green arm glove look..
Chris Jericho - formerly known as Y2J? Insisted not to be called that for the rest of the game since he has changed and become a better player. But all the crowd kept on calling him was by his former name, pissed him off haha wore sparkly underpants.
Rey Mysterio - masked frogman looking fighter- Very tiny. Well not really actually, height is at around 175cm, but looks very short compared to the other wrest
Even when they bleed, apparently this move is considered "bleeding themselves" - an act so planned out, each move is marked so it would cause minimum damage to their bodies.
Although, you can tell, sometimes it does hurt!!
While the popularity of wrestling or "pro wrestling" in Japan is nothing compared to the enormity in the States, there seems to be quite a long history of wrestling "entertainment" in Japan too. While called pro-wrestling, most cases were all enacted just like the WWE, and outcomes were decided pre-game. This was mostly for the optimum money made out of bets and this process was called Yaochou 八百長。
However, even in Japan, in some cases, wrestlers do get injured in the ring- and even die: a famous wrestler named Tiger Mask passed away on the ring due to a spinal cord injury.
In an article from Japan Times, a "star fighter" named Barista claims:
'“That’s how I see it,” he said. “If you break it down, it’s a story about the good guys and the bad guys, and the fans can decide who is good and who is bad. It’s about fighting to see who comes out on top. It’s a little complicated, but you’re telling a story in the ring to get the fans emotionally invested, which is hard to do as they know it’s entertainment.” To Batista’s credit, at no time did he refer to pro wrestling as a sport. A Varna Ghita live in Nakadaki, Chiba...
In a glowing, warm ambient stage, created right in the middle of trees and fields, music floats away into the night sky like smoke towards the moon....
The Varna Ghita play mainly Japanese folk with ethnic nuances to the melody- They sing of the nature, culture, and hope.
Another performer (in the above photo) is Tama, an eighteen year old guitar virtuoso, who sings in such a creamy voice. His guitar playing reminds you of jazz and flamenco. He reminded me of Rodrigo y Gabriela, a guitar duo I love to listen to:
Dutch Bicycles.
An old school looking bicycle, mostly Dubbed "civilized riding" and "fashion friendly"
These bicycles have fenders, chain guards, and a proper rack, meaning you can protect your clothes from the grime that might rub onto your clothes when cycling on normal bicycles or mt. bikes.
Very annoying when this happens and you're wearing light-colored jeans for instance!

先日 うつろいゆくもの 2009 酒井幸子 個展 に行ってきました。
Translated: Things that change and grow older...
Sachiko Sakai is a well known artist who paints mainly Chinese brush painting along with Sumie 墨絵 painting. She has studied in China and even exhibited her artwork in both Japan and China since 1988.
Her paintings were mainly of flowers and fruits- all things that naturally deteriorate and change in color.
Looking through her work, one could see she only paints on cloth-
My favorite piece from the exhibition- titled Dahlia. On tinted cloth that reminds you of a sepia time, she pains these two beautiful flowers...very subtly. One looking out to the view proudly, and the other, looking away, a little shy of the world. I stood staring at this painting in particular for quite a while.

Another example of an amazing Turkish song- "Gece Gunduz" (pronounced Geje Goondooz) by singer, Hande Yener.
There is something mesmerizing about the melody- she sings the song so simply, while keeping the melody line alive by not breathing in too many breaths.
While as a DJ I realize lyrics can be powerful to the listener, it can be just as powerful not having any idea what one is singing about at all. Listening to a language you do not understand is actually very soothing as it relaxes your senses. You realize you do not need to decipher every phrase or word, but simply take in all that there is.
This track is from Hande Yener's album "Hipnoz" (2008) that manages to include both hipnotic Turkish pop (T-pop?) and smoothe, gentle singing.
The white building on the far left is the new Nissan building being built in Sakuragicho, MM21, Yokohama-
This will also be the first global headquarter to situate smack in Minato Mirai 21.
This was decided way back in June, 2004. Construction began in 2007 and as one can see in the photo, is almost done (scheduled to finish this year).

Funny since Nissan's president and CEO, Carlos Ghosn lives in Yokohama. His daughters also go to an international school in Yokohama. Great idea! Why not bring work closer to home!
- hopefully this also means more Nissan workers will move to MM21--> more residents in the apartment blocks that are very vacant right now --> City economic growth!!

Found on my way to Chiba-
Part of Tokyo station that's just...guh.
Between main central station and Keiyo Line (the one that goes to Makuhari Messe & Disneyland too)
Very ugly, very unnecessary space that is just....unimpressive.
No stalls even? At least conbini? no? potential? FAIL!
Makes any trip to this side of the station a little tedious and dull...
Another cute kitty video that came my way.
The cat seems to be playing daruma-san ga koronda, a Japanese childrens' game where one player faces a wall or tree so that he/she cannot see the other players behind her/him. While chanting "daruma-san ga koronda...", the other players inch their way towards the one player thats not allowd to look at them during the chant. After he/she finishes chanting the phrase, he/she can look back at the players and if anyone is still moving, he/she is out.
A little freaky towards the end!
